Hampton Inn New Smyrna Beach, Florida Celebrates Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening
February 19, 2013
On February 7, The Hampton Inn New Smyrna Beach, FL, located at 214 Flagler Avenue, hosted its ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration.
This very successful event was planned and produced in close cooperation with the Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce.
It was truly a community celebration as property General Manager Tony Stagni welcomed the large and enthusiastic crowd of Chamber members, other area merchants and businesses, elected officials, and the press.
Reverend Robert Brown, Senior Pastor at Coronado Community United Methodist Church, honored the attendees with a blessing. Tony Stagni then introduced the hotel owner, David Swentor of Premier Development who spoke about the history of this property, the first new hotel to be opened on Flagler Avenue in over fifty years. Swentor then introduced Jeff Iavarone, LBA Vice President of Marketing and Sales.
Iavarone spoke with pride and excitement that Premier Development has selected LBA Hospitality to be the hotel’s third party manager. Explaining that a deeply held ethic at LBA is to give back to the communities where the company is honored to do business, Iavarone introduced the ceremony to present a $2,500 donation to Southeast Volusia Habitat for Humanity. Iavarone closed his remarks saying that “the architectural blend of this Hampton Inn, co-existing with the historic look and appeal of New Smyrna Beach and the surrounding community, shows the care and attention to detail that Premier Development took in this very special project.”
