LBA Hospitality Director of eCommerce Tapped To Speak at Hotel Data Conference

LBA Hospitality, a full-scale hotel management, development and consulting firm, today announced its Director of eCommerce Tim Johnson will speak at the Hotel Data Conference’s panel session, ‘Online, Offline: Keeping Your Reputation Intact,’ on August 6.

The conference, which will be held August 4-6 at the Omni Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tenn., is hosted by STR, Inc. and Hotel News Now. During the panel, Johnson and other industry experts will provide tips and best practices for managing online reputation, with a comprehensive examination of digital, offline and on-property elements.

“We’re honored that Tim was selected for the panel discussion because he’s so passionate and knowledgeable when it comes to developing and maintaining a brand’s reputation across the many crucial online platforms utilized across the hotel industry,” said Vice President of Sales & Marketing Judy Cluck, who will also be in attendance.

As Director of eCommerce, Johnson is tasked with maximizing the online exposure of LBA’s clients and properties across online channels, which ensures increased room revenues, decreased operational costs and optimal returns on investment. LBA’s eCommerce priorities are to increase its digital, mobile and social foot-prints; foster customer loyalty and brand affinity and maintain brand and portfolio preference.

Johnson, who began his role at LBA Hospitality in June, has more than 12 years of marketing and hospitality expertise, previously serving as Marriott International’s Manager of Marketing and eCommerce for the Mod-ern Essentials/Extended Stay Brands.

“Probably the biggest mistake in today’s online world is ignoring your hotel’s online brand in the first place, and hoping that anything negative just goes away,” says Johnson.  “Hotels that operate with a traditional mindset understand that they’re going to have an overwhelming majority of positive guest or client experiences. That’s how business is and how business gets done. But online, people who have a negative experience are far more likely to share that experience with others. The problem for a business is that reviews can live online forever and affect your business for many years to come.”
